JMan:
I've been thinking about this for awhile now since the completion of basketball season and am taking the following into consideration:
1. My current health and strength
2. I live in the Pacific Time Zone which makes Saturday's games off at 9 a.m. and Sunday's games at 10 a.m. thus having to be awake early to be on top of active line changes.
3. Posting plays throughout the day allowing for much needed rest as I currently fatigue easily due to my health.
4. Posting plays in advance when I am comfortable with the play at the current line and not await any line movement.
To be honest, JMan, I have been struggling with how to best provide my selections. If I was healthy, as I was somewhat last season, there would be no problem posting all my plays early, either before or on game day. Now, with all that being said, let me try to answer your specific questions.
At the moment, I most likely will be selective and post plays early, either a day or more in advance when I am comfortable with the line and anticipate movement against me. If I feel waiting for game day is warranted in a particular situation to get better value, I will post on game day and I usually try to post at least an hour before the kick-off of the game. On Saturday, if I know all my plays early, I will post approximately an hour before kick-off of the first game I'm releasing. If I do not know all my plays and wish to take my time continuing to evaluate a particular match-up or wish to wait until closer to game time for line movement, I will post throughout the day, adding plays at times. I did this is college hoops last year. On Sunday, with far less games and fewer plays and line movements, plus a later starting time, I should be able to post more comfortably, once again either posting in advance or approximately an hour before kick-off. As you can see, posting of my plays will be a mixed bag depending on the variables stated above.
I am very much aware that this may make it difficult on viewers of my posts as they may have to check back at times. I will try to remember to let all know if my card is complete as posted or additions can be expected. I very much enjoy sharing, but must take care of my health. The last thing I want to do is force the release of selections while I am physically fatigued. I've always taken my responsibility to the forums, fellow posters, members and viewers seriously and view their money as I would my own. I want to be careful to assure that when I make a release, it has been made with my normal full fundamental and situational evaluation and that all viewers can be confident, whether they decide to follow the release or not.
I hope this provides some guidance of my current thinking and should you have any ideas given my current circumstances, please feel free to add your thoughts. The forum is here to share and I provide but one small part of the many who contribute. The total that we all bring to the forums is what can make the RX an excellent source of information and knowledge for each other as well as our viewers. I hope we can all keep that in mind this football season and as always, my very best wishes to all for a successful year.
